Overview
Phographers want practice taking cool shots and expanding their portfolio. Some models and riggers also want to practice their art for photos and get some great shots for their collection. WitchCityRope needs more great shots for the website also.

So this experimental day, is meant for all of these groups to come together, practice, learn, share and get some great photography that they can all respectively use for their things. This does mean we have to work out how credits are given and some models will understandably have publish location and body parts visible restrictions. Which we do need to work out before hand. But everyone participating should come with the expectation they are involved in creating photography that everyone involved can use (in approved consentual ways).

Current Implementation Thoughts
-
Everyone agrees beforehand on usage
-
Friday evening / night - helpers and a few photographers come in to help setup
-
Saturday 10 am - photographers and helpers come in to finish setting up, take test shots and all that
-
Saturday noon (ish) - models and riggers arrive and start getting setup
-
We run until 6pm ish - models change outfits, try different stations
I envision a lot of little collaborative learning sessions between everyone on all the topics (lighting, body positioning, shot angles, etc).

Things We Need To Work Out
-
model / photogrpher / WCR release forms and agreements
-
equipment needed list
-
4-5 main photographers to sign up (saying what they want and have for gear, plus what they are interested in shooting)
-
3 ish amature photographers that want to help out and learn a bunch
-
models and riggers signing up
-
makeup artists
-
setup and day of helpers

We take test shots, experiment and share ideas / thoughts / learn from each other. Models / riggers show up, get dressed, do makeup and get roped up (doesn't have to be rope though). They then rotate around and get different shots at different locations (which ever ones they want to).
Throughout, the photographers get feedback from each other and the models and models get feedback on positioning and poses (if either party wants the feedback of course). Everyone can adjust and take more shots to see what works. The goal IS to get some great photos, but it is just as much to learn by doing while getting real time feedback and trying new things.
If you just want some good photos are aren't in to the collaborative and iterative learning / sharing approach, then I don't think this day is a good fit for you.
Chad has enough gear to probably setup 3 stations with flash lighting but would need to borrow or have photographers bring 2 more flash controllers. Could ask some friends for some more equipment, but photographers can also bring their own. I also have constant lights and we could try natural lighting, but there isn't much of that here.

So we need to figure out a way to make sure everyone's needs are met (yes / no on identifiable markings or face, where it can be posted, etc). These are important expectations to get down up front so there isn't any ambiguity after the fact.
