The Witch City Rope Jam is meant to both foster rope based community and give rope enthusiasts a safe place to practice, share and explore their art. We strive to make everyone feel comfortable and safe.

Logistics

Date: Saturday - May 17th (currently full)

Beverages/Food: we have a food spread plus soda, water, tea and coffee options

Cost: Tickets are $10-$20 (pay what you can)  

Size: 35 people max
Only vetted members can attend (no unvetted guests) - Vetting Application

* Never let money be the reason you don’t come. All tickets are on a sliding scale so please pay what you can and most importantly, come.

Learning Circle

During the first hour, we will have a designated area where we teach what ever folks that show up want to learn or suggest some practice or more advanced stuff.

Volunteering

- Volunteering (give back, meet and help the organizers, plus free tickets, doesn't take much time)

- We need some help setting up and greeting/checking folks in.

Schedule

  7:30 – Doors open for Rope Jam

Staff checks RSVP, tickets, vaccination status, etc. and lets attendees in.

  7:50 – Doors close

 No more attendees are allowed to enter the premises.

  8:00– Welcome and announcements

  8:15 – Jam starts (let's tie some rope) - also the "Learning Circle" starts 

11:30  – “last call” warning

Attendees are informed that they have 10 minutes to wrap up their scenes.

11:40  – Jam ends

Music stops, lights are turned up, attendees collect their belongings and leave the jam.

12:00  – Space is closed

Jam Etiquette

- Many etiquette items are covered in the Code of Conduct (we worked really hard on it, so give it a read)

- These are casual events, but please wear what ever you feel comfortable in (tux, nude, goth club or yoga pants, if you feel comfortable then it's perfect). 

- We encourage you to be barefoot on the dance floor to prevent slipping. 

- If all of the rig points are being used and people are waiting, we ask that you limit your time on a point to one hour
